The United Kingdom is a very popular study abroad destination.  Naturally, London comes to mind when most students think of studying in the UK.  However, London may not be the most practical city for international students looking to stretch their student financing. There are many universities outside of London that offer a world recognized credential and an affordable education.

We recommend the following universities for cost conscious students looking to study in the UK. 

University of Hull

The University of Hull is England’s 14th-oldest university. The University of Hull was founded in 1927 – originally as University College Hull. Tuition fees  for international students are $16,935 per year for arts programs and $20,242 for science courses.

Abertay University

Abertay University was founded as the Dundee Technical Institute in 1888. Teesside University

Teesside University is a public university with its main campus in Middlesbrough. The university consists of five schools: School of Design, Culture and the Arts, School of Computing, School of Health and Social Care, School of Science & Engineering, School of Social Sciences and Business and Law. There are also five multi-disciplinary research institutes which help researchers carry out research.

Tuition fees for international students are $14,222 for Undergraduate programs and $14,487 for Postgraduate programs per year.  The tuition fees for a two year Master’s program is  $18,522 total. MBA program tuition fees range between $17,199 to $22,492 per year depending on the program.

Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University has roots dating back to 1843 when it was first established as the Nottingham Government School of Design. University of Chester

Established in 1839, the University of Chester is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the United Kingdom.
