Guest Post on SOG

Thanks for your interest in writing a guest post for The Study Overseas Guide (SOG)!

We are always looking for student writers interested in sharing their study abroad experience on the SOG! Writing about your experiences while studying abroad or after your experience is a great way to remember them later, and inspire others to follow in your footsteps. Beyond articles, we also love student photos, videos, tweets and more.

Feel free to share anything you wish about studying abroad, but here are some topics you might want to consider:

  • How has study abroad impacted your life?
  • What do you remember most about studying abroad?
  • Why would you recommend studying abroad to current students?
  • What did you like most about the international university and your program of study?

Formatting

  • Microsoft Word or Text document
  • Include Headings and Subheading (depending on length of post)
  • Include the links within the text and in brackets after the text. Links MUST NOT be linking to advertising or SPAM.

Post Length: The article can be as long as you need it to be to convey your message.  However, we prefer between 300 to 1200 words in length.

Editing: We edit all guest post submissions to ensure that there are no grammatical or punctuation errors.

Bio/Byline:  Every guest poster has the ability to include 2 to 3 sentences at the end of the article.  We prefer that it introduces who you are, what your doing now since studying abroad and links to any social media profiles or contact information.

The SOG rarely rejects posts if the guidelines provided up above are followed.  However, if we think that the article is poorly written, or may not be unique content, we may send it back to you requesting you to make modifications.

If you have any questions or need to contact us regarding your article submission, our contact details are provided below.

Submit your article to the following email address:

We look forward to hearing from you and reading about your study abroad experiences!
